Death Takes No Bribes is Done
My third Endurance Mystery, Death Takes No Bribes, is officially done and off to my editor. At this point it has 30 chapters, 73,800 words total. That, of course, will change during the editing process.
Marry in Haste Publication Date, August 21, 2015
The official publication date for Marry in Haste, the second title for The Endurance Mysteries, has been announced by Five Star Publishing. It will be out on June 22, 2016.

Title for the third Endurance Mystery, June 14, 2015
Each of my Endurance Mysteries has a title that is a Benjamin Franklin proverb. Grace Kimball used to teach American Literature in high school, and she always loved the sayings from Poor Richard’s Almanack. The first book is Three May Keep a Secret (If Two of Them Are Dead); Marry in Haste (Repent at Leisure) is the second mystery. The third Endurance Mystery, which I’m currently writing, will also be a Franklin proverb, albeit a rather dark-sounding one: Death Takes No Bribes.

I just received word today that Marry in Haste, the second Endurance Mystery, will be officially launched June 2016. It’s a bit of a wait, but I can assure you it will keep you on the edge of your seats with a plot in 2012 where the first book ended, and an additional plot from 1893.
Malice Domestic Conference, May 1-3, 2015
I attended the Malice Domestic Conference, a book convention for mystery writers–especially cozy and traditional–and fans. Approximately 600 people were there in Bethesda, Maryland, and it was quite an event. You can read about it on my blog.
